KANSASVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team finished 17
th of 35 teams at Benedictine's Midwest Region Classic, hosted on Friday and Saturday at Brighton Dale Links. Freshman
Lynell Miller had a stellar second round, shooting 78 for a personal best and +6 on the day.
Aurora University claimed the top spot, finishing +23 with a two-day total of 599 strokes. The Pioneers finished +121 with 697 strokes.
Miller tied for 49
th place individually behind +23 and 167 strokes (89, 78), moving up 44 places as an individual on Saturday.
Junior
Chloe Chappell finished tied for 57
th place with 169 strokes after rounds of 83 and 86. One stroke behind Chappel was senior
Danielle Bruecker who tied for 62
nd after rounds of 82 on Friday and 88 on Saturday.
Rounding out the Pioneers was junior
Hannah Peterson who tied for 139
th with 191 strokes (93, 98).
Next up, the Pioneers will take a weekend off while they prepare for the WIAC Championship which starts Friday, Oct. 9 at the Reedsburg Country Club.
