MADISON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team competed Sunday and Monday at the Edgewood Fall Invite, hosted at Odana Hills Golf Course.
The Pioneers finished seventh of nine teams after the two rounds of 18 with scores of 353 and 348 for a +125 finish. UW-Stevens Point won the invite, finishing +68 with rounds of 319 and 325.
Junior
Chloe Chappell paced the Pioneers with a 12
th place finish overall and rounds of 82 and 82 for a total of 164 strokes. Senior
Danielle Bruecker finished tied for 23
rd with rounds of 88 and 84 (172).
Freshman
Lynell Miller was right behind Bruecker in 25
th place and rounds of 81 and 92 for a total of 173 strokes. After a challenging first round, junior
Hannah Peterson found her groove and finished stronger with a total of 192 (102, 90) and a 43
rdplace finish.
Freshman
Valerie Mantia competed as an individual and finished 63
rd with rounds of 133 and 125 (258).
The Pioneers will return to action this Saturday when they travel to Kansasville, Wis. For the Benedictine University Invite at Brighton Dale Golf Links.
