MARION, Iowa – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team placed second of eight teams over the weekend at Mount Mercy's Mustang Fall invite, hosted at Hunters Ridge Golf Course. UW-Platteville posted a score of 665 (+89) as a team after two rounds of 18.
Mount Mercy won the event with a team score of 618 (+42). Chiara Bothe of the Mustangs took first individually with 148 (+4).
For the second week in a row, junior
Chloe Chappell paced the Pioneers, shooting rounds of 80 and 84 for a total of 164 which was good for sixth place overall.
Right behind Chappell was a trio of teammates who each finished tied for seventh place with a total of 167. Senior
Danielle Bruecker had a great Sunday as she shaved five strokes off Saturday, carding rounds of 86 and 81. Freshman
Olivia Teddy followed suite and also posted rounds of 86 and 81 while sophomore teammate
Hannah Peterson shot rounds of 86 and 81 to tie for seventh.
Rounding out the invite for UW-Platteville was freshman
Lynell Miller who shot 186 (90,96) which was good for 25
th overall.
Next weekend, the Pioneers will travel to Madison for Edgewood's Women's Fall Invite at Odana Hills Golf Course.
