Wojciehowski Announced as Baseball Head Coach

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Aidan Wojciehowski has been named the next head coach of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team, announced by Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Sam Koenig.

"We are incredibly excited about the positive energy, passion, and commitment to innovation that Coach Wojciehowski brings to Pioneer Baseball," said Koenig. "Throughout the search process, it became clear that Aidan has the leadership, vision, and character necessary to build upon our program while embracing new ideas that will elevate every aspect of our program."

Wojciehowski joins UW-Platteville after serving as the head recruiting coordinator and associate head coach at Loras College since 2018, where he helped guide the Duhawks to the best four-year stretch in school history.

"Beyond excited to pair high energy with the impressive foundation in place at UW-Platteville," Wojciehowski said. "Recruits, current players, and alumni should know that I will put my stamp on Pioneer baseball and continue to produce young men who will transcend the baseball team as active members on campus and the Platteville community. I'm very appreciative of Carl Tebon and every player and coach I've worked with during my time at Loras. As a man of faith, this timing and opportunity surpass any plan I could have had in place, and I'm thankful to Athletic Director Koenig for entrusting me to usher in a new era of Pioneer baseball. Let's get to work!"

Loras went 111-64 from 2021-2024 and set the program record for single season wins in 2022 with 32. The Duhawks reached the 25-win plateau in each of those four seasons, one of just 30 teams in the country to reach that mark over that span. In 2023, Loras made its first ever NCAA Regional appearance after punching its ticket with a perfect run through the American Rivers Conference postseason tournament.

Over the course of his tenure at Loras, Wojciehowski coached 10 All-Region selections, including four straight seasons with at least two. Among those included an ABCA First Team All-American, the program's first All-American honoree since 1998.
The 2022 season saw the Loras pitching staff under Wojciehowski total a program record 330 strikeouts and finish eight in NCAA Division III with seven shutout victories. The following year, the Duhawks tallied another 321 strikeouts and led the A-R-C with 17 saves.

Prior to joining the Loras coaching staff, Wojciehowski made 42 appearances as a player for the Duhawks from 2015-2018, including 20 in his All-Conference senior season. In 2018, he posted 53 strikeouts to go along with a 1.62 ERA, the fourth-best all-time mark in Loras single season history. Wojciehowski also pitched two years in the Northwoods League with the Lakeshore Chinooks before serving as the team's bullpen coach in 2018. He returned to the Chinooks in 2025 as pitching coach and had a nine-game stint as interim manager.

Wojciehowski also spent one summer as an instructional coach for the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Academy and was a head coach in the Palm Springs Collegiate League (PSCL) in 2022, where he guided the Northstars to a second-place finish.

In addition to his baseball roles at Loras, the Port Washington, Wis., native worked in several other areas around campus, including admissions and residence life before transitioning to teaching as a professor in Physical Education and for the coaching minor. In 2021, Wojciehowski completed his Master of Science in Applied Analytics from Loras, and in 2023 earned his Master of Arts in Coaching Leadership. His wife, Reilly, recently completed her residency program and will work at Medical Associates in Dubuque, Iowa.
