Dietz, Peters Named to NFCA All-Region Team

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Senior Melissa Dietz and junior Allison Peters of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region VIII team on Friday.

Dietz picked up First Team All-Region honors for the third time in her career following another fantastic season. The third baseman led the WIAC with a .532 batting average, .910 slugging percentage, .603 on-base percentage, 1.513 OPS and nine home runs, while ranking second with 59 hits, third with 39 RBI, and tied for third with 13 doubles. Her .532 batting average (59-for-111) is the top mark in a single season in conference archives. Earlier this week, Dietz claimed the WIAC Position Player of the Year award for the third time in her career (2023 and 2025), becoming the first individual in conference history to accomplish the feat.

Peters earned Second Team All-Region recognition for the second consecutive year. The 2026 All-WIAC selection finished second on the team with a .406 batting average while playing in and starting 37 games. Peters came through with 52 hits, 27 RBI, nine doubles, 22 runs and 76 total bases. The second baseman finished inside the top-six in the WIAC in hits and batting average on the season.
