PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Five members of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team earned WIAC Postseason recognition on Wednesday, highlighted by
Melissa Dietz being voted the conference's Position Player of the Year for the third time in her career.
Allison Peters,
Nora Buske and
Delila Liston joined Dietz on the All-WIAC team while
Carlie Jo Brownlee was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Melissa Dietz | All-WIAC | Sr. | 3B
Dietz claims the Position Player of the Year award for the third time in her career (2023 and 2025), becoming the first individual in conference history to accomplish the feat. She leads the WIAC with a .532 batting average, .910 slugging percentage, .603 on-base percentage, 1.513 OPS and nine home runs, while ranking second with 59 hits, third with 39 RBI, and tied for third with 13 doubles. Her .532 batting average (59-for-111) is the top mark in a single season in conference archives. Dietz had multiple hits in 20 games this season and a career-high six RBI against University of Dubuque (Iowa) on March 10.
Allison Peters | All-WIAC | Jr.| 2B
Peters collects her first All-WIAC honors after earning Honorable Mention honors last season. The junior finished second on the team with a .406 batting average while playing in and starting 37 games. Peters came through with 52 hits, 27 RBI, nine doubles, 22 runs and 76 total bases. The second baseman finished inside the top-six in the WIAC in hits and batting average on the season.
Delila Liston | All-WIAC | Fr. | SS
Liston put together a fantastic first season for the Pioneers, finishing third on the team with a .379 batting average while starting in 39 games. The freshman totaled 16 RBI, the third most on the team, and finished with 50 hits and 11 extra-base hits (nine doubles and two triples).
Nora Buske | All-WIAC | Fr. | RHP
Buske developed into one of the top pitchers in the conference as a freshman, posting an earned run average of 3.22 while throwing 80.1 innings, eighth-most in the WIAC. Buske made 29 appearances in the circle for the Pioneers and posted an 11-3 record while adding three saves. She was seventh in the conference with 77 strikeouts.
Carlie Jo Brownlee | All-Sportsmanship | Sr. | RHP
Brownlee earned All-Sportsmanship Team honors for the first time in her career. The senior made 23 appearances in the circle, including seven starts. Brownlee struck out 62 and finished with four wins and four losses on the year.
