MADISON, Wis. – Senior
Izzy Peterson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's track and field team was voted the WIAC Track Performer of the Meet following the completion of the 2026 Outdoor Championships, hosted at UW-La Crosse.
Peterson becomes the first Pioneer to be voted the Performer of the Meet since Amber Williams earned the Field Performer of the Meet title after the 2017 championships.
Sweeping the 100 (11.80) and 200 (24.12) meter dash titles on the final day of the meet, Peterson broke both her school records in the prelims, running times of 11.56 in the 100 and 23.51 in the 200. Peterson's time in the 200m prelims also set a new meet record.
The senior currently ranks second on the NCAA DIII Honor Roll in the 100m dash and second on the honor roll in the 200m dash.
Also competing in the fourth place 4x100m relay team at the meet, Peterson was a member of the relay team of
Haley Stannard,
Elianna Dalamangas and
Madison Ahrens that owns the outdoor 4x100m school record which was set last season with a time of 46.86.
