JANESVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team's weekend at the UW-Whitewater Spring Invite was cut short due to storms. Friday's round was halted due to storms, and the teams returned to a soggy course on Saturday to finish out one round of competition in cold and windy conditions.
The Pioneers finished 14
th of 18 teams with a score of 347 strokes. UW-Stout paced the field and finished with a team score of 301.
Sophomore
Chloe Chappell and senior
Taylor Swalve each hit a team-best 83 strokes to tie for 37
th overall. Junior Daniell Bruecker finished with a second-best score 90 strokes.
Freshman
Hannah Peterson took to the course for the first time this spring and finished with a round of 91. Rounding out the Pioneers was senior
Hannah Tysse who finished with 98 strokes.
The Pioneers will wrap up the spring portion of their schedule next weekend at Augustana's Viking Invitational in Rock Island, Illinois.
