NORMAL, Ill. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team opened its spring season at Illinois Wesleyan's Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling at the Ironwood Golf Course.
UW-Platteville finished 20
th as a team with a score of 716 while WashU took first with a team score of 607 strokes.
Sophomore
Chloe Chappell paced the four competing Pioneers with a two-day total of 166 strokes (85, 81). Senior
Taylor Swalve finished second with rounds of 83 and 88 for a total of 171.
Junior
Danielle Bruecker finished third for the Pioneers with 181 strokes (89, 92) and senior
Hannah Tysse rounded out the Pioneers golfers with a two-day total of 198 (95, 103).
UW-Platteville will return to action on Friday, April 17 when they compete at the UW-Whitewater Spring Invite at the Riverside Golf Course in Janesville.
