MARION, Iowa – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team took ninth of 14 teams at the Munstang Fall Invite over the weekend, hosted by Mount Mercy at the Hunters Ridge Golf Course.
The Pioneers shaved five strokes off their first round for a total of 697 strokes (351, 346) after 36 holes.
Leading the way for the Pioneers was senior
Taylor Swalve who finished 25
th overall with a two-day total of 167 strokes (82, 85).
Senior
Madison Berg shot 88 on Saturday and 84 on Sunday to take 33
rd with 172 strokes. Finishing with 179 strokes and tied for 47
th were freshman
Hannah Peterson (88, 91) and sophomore
Chloe Chappell (93, 86).
Rounding out the Pioneers scoring five was junior
Danielle Bruecker who shot 96 and 93 (189) to finish 67
th. Senior
Hannah Tysse finished 72
nd individually with 205 strokes (104, 101).
UW-Platteville will take a week off and return to action on Friday, Sept. 19 when they compete at the Benedictine University Midwest Region Classic in Kansasville, Wis.
