MADISON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team finished 13
th of 17 teams at the UW-Whitewater Fall Invite, hosted at TPC in Madison.
On the second beautiful day of competition, the Pioneers shot a 336, improving upon their Sunday round of 351 for a 36-hole score of 689. Pomona-Pitzer ran away from the competition, finishing with a total of 585 and 50 strokes ahead of second place UW-Stout.
Senior
Taylor Swalve had a tremendous second outing, tying her career best of 77 on Monday and finishing with a two-day total of 161 strokes (84,77), good for 18
th place.
Sophomore
Hannah Peterson shaved two strokes off the first round on Sunday and finished tied for 54
th place with 174 strokes (88,86). Sophomore
Chloe Chappell was two strokes behind and in 59
th place with rounds of 91 and 85.
Junior
Danielle Bruecker finished tied for 69
th with 178 strokes (88,90) and senior
Hannah Tysse rounded out the Pioneers five with a 36-hole score of 218 (111,107).
The Pioneers will return to action on Friday, October 3 for the first day of the WIAC Championship, hosted at Reedsburg Country Club.
