RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team teed off the Fall 2025 season at the UW-River Fall's Falcon Invitational. The team placed 10 of 13 teams after two rounds on Saturday and Sunday at the River Falls Golf Course.
The Pioneers totaled rounds of 36
2 and 360 for a combined 722 strokes. UW-Stout finished at the top of the pool with 644 strokes.
Leading the way for UW-Platteville, and finishing 39
th of 74 golfers, was freshman
Hannah Peterson with rounds of 88 and 91 for a two-day total of 179.
Senior
Taylor Swalve, sophomore
Chloe Chappell, and junior
Danielle Bruecker all tied for 45
th overall. Swalve and Chappell both shot 90 on day one and 91 on Sunday for a total of 181 strokes. Bruecker tallied 94 strokes after the first round, but then finished strong with a round of 87 on Sunday.
Rounding out the Pioneers five was senior
Madison Berg who combined two rounds of 94 for 59
th place overall. Competing as individuals were seniors
Hannah Tysse (94, 98) and
Emma Slattery (105, 106) who finished 62
nd and 71
st overall.
Next up, the Pioneers will hit the road to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for the Mount Mercy Invite, starting on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Hunters Ridge Golf Course.
