PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Junior Lexi Ward of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team was named to the United Soccer Coaches Division III All-Region IX Third Team this week.

Ward earns her second consecutive All-Region selection after collecting Fourth Team honors in 2024. The defender adds to her postseason hardware after being named the WIAC Defensive Player of the Year as well as First Team All-Conference.

Ward started all 20 games for UW-Platteville while playing a team-high 1725 minutes. Her defensive presence helped the Pioneers allow just 0.94 goals per game on the season, second best in the WIAC. The Eldridge, Iowa native added a goal on the offensive end, her third goal in as many seasons.
