PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's cross country team was announced Sunday afternoon as one of 22 at-large bids to the 2025 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships.
This will be the ninth trip to nationals as a team in program history and first since 2015.
The team's third-place finish at Saturday's NCAA Regional in Eau Claire was UW-Platteville's best at the meet since the 2010 season. The Pioneers totaled 120 points and trailed only UW-La Crosse (30 points) and UW-Stevens Point (110) at the meet.
Four Pioneers earned All-Region honors with senior
Caden Schneider pacing the team with his 11th-place finish of 24:56.8 in the 8K race to earn his third All-Region selection. Right behind him was junior
Zachary Sporaa, who earned his second straight All-Region honors after placing 12th overall in 24:59.6. Sophomore
Maxwell Voss finished 25th overall to collect All-Region recognition behind a time of 25:33.3. Senior
Joshua Stone also took home regional honors after placing 31st in 25:38.3.
Converse University and OneSpartanburg, Inc. are hosting the championships Nov. 22 at Roger Milliken Cross Country course in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The men's race will begin at 9 a.m. CST.
