Izzy Peterson and junior
Hailey Campbell were crowned champions on Saturday as the University of Wisconsin-Platteville track and field teams competed at day two of the WIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships from Veteran's Memorial Stadium.
The Pioneers men's team placed fourth as a team, the highest finish since 2018, while the women's team finished sixth. UW-La Crosse took first place in both the men's and women's championships.
Men's Highlights
Senior
McKade Jelinek finished runner-up in the discus throw with a personal-best of 54.09m.
Finishing third, senior
Joshua Stone ran 1:52.39 in the 800m, also a career-best.
Senior
Elijah Wade placed fourth in the 1500m run with a PR, finishing in 3:53.69. In the 400m run, freshman
Mason Augustynowicz took fifth running a PR of 48.68 while senior
James Ketterer finished sixth with a 48.86, and a personal best.
Running two PRs, sophomore
Kadyn Dixon ran a 10.50 to place sixth in the 100m dash, and finished eighth in the 200m with a time of 22.19.
Taking fifth, the 4x400m relay team of Augustynowicz, freshman
Caleb Kitelinger, junior
Andrew Zimmerman and Ketterer finished in 3:14.96. The men's 4x100m relay team of Dixon, freshman
Noah Platten, Kitelinger, and Augustynowicz placed sixth, with a time of 41.81.
In the 5000m, junior
Zachary Sporaa finished in 14:29.36 to place fifth. Junior
Paul Pfeifer finished eighth in the event with a time of 14:49.01.
Taking fifth and seventh in the shot put, sophomore
Daniel Wenger tossed 16.12m while junior
Colby Stotler posted a mark of 15.82m. Ketterer placed eighth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.01m.
Women's Highlights
After breaking school records in both events during the prelims on Friday, senior
Izzy Peterson won both the 100m and 200m dashes. Peterson ran an 11.80 in the 100m and 24.12 in the 200m.
Campbell captured her second outdoor title in the high jump, and first since 2024, with a season-best height of 1.68m.

Shannon Wulf and junior
Elianna Dalamangas ran a time of 46.92 to place fourth in the event.
Dalamangas captured fifth in the triple-jump with a personal-best mark of 11.51 on her first jump of the day.
Finishing seventh, the 4x400m relay team of freshman
Grace Carlson, senior
Leah Digmann, sophomore
Josephine Yurs and freshman
Sarah Knaack ran 4:04.88.
Senior Magan Hageman ran a career-best 4:43.96 in the 1500m run, capturing sixth place.
