The award is given to collegiate student-athletes whose athletic accomplishments and academic achievements reflect their dedicated efforts in the weight room.
Kennedy Wenger (Volleyball)
Kennedy has been a driving force in the development and culture of training within our volleyball program. Whether it's early morning lifts or afternoon sessions, "Kenny" consistently searches for ways to create a competitive edge in her preparation. She brings maximum effort to every training session and sets the standard for what commitment looks like. Kennedy is someone her teammates and coaches can rely on for leadership both on the court and in the weight room. She has a unique ability to find the right words at the right time, pushing those around her to train harder and raise their own standards. Her presence elevates not only her own performance, but the performance and mindset of the entire team. Her dedication, attention to detail in every rep, and commitment to maximizing each day have directly translated into her playing a critical role in the team's recent success. Kennedy shows the work ethic, leadership, and competitive drive of what being a student-athlete means. ~

Leah Sprangers (Women's Soccer)
Truly an athlete that just puts her head down and works hard no matter the day. I have yet to hear a complaint from her so far this year as she simply just accepts the challenge in front of her. One of my few athletes that I just randomly see in the weight room all the time since she is always doing some sort of extra work. She just happens to be the one goalkeeper that runs the most miles on the team too. Her leadership by example has rubbed off on a few of her teammates and hopefully will for the rest of the team. ~Trevor Schier
Luke Hogle (Men's Soccer)
Luke has been the model of lead by action. He always comes to workouts with a smile and positive attitude in even the toughest training sessions. In the fall, Luke modeled what it's like to face adversity of injury. No matter his limitations, Luke faced every training session with the same tenacious approach. His hard work and willingness to support his teammates have proven to be very motivating & unwavering. His dedication & tenacious approach translated to him seeing his minutes increase throughout the season. Luke is the model of consistency & tenacity for all student-athletes in the weight room. ~

Blake Delsman (Wrestling)
Blake has brought intangible characteristics to our workouts in his 3 years on campus. His demeanor and drive are 2 key elements that have made him a leader in our program. Although Blake has faced some injury adversity in his time on campus, but his drive and desire to train are unwavering. He's always the first one in room and willing to help clean up after workouts. His clear communication, trust in the system & motivation have seen him grow into a leader. His transformation in his physical tools has seen him grow into the starting lineup for our program. Consistent, committed & driven are Blake's 3 unwavering characteristics in training. ~

Jenna Gansen (Women's Basketball)
From the moment I first had her step into our weight room she has been nothing but fully bought into the training programs I provide for her. Even deep into the season she still wants to come in and do more. She isn't just a weight room worker but a good person at heart and leads strongly by example on and off the court. I would love to have a 100 more athletes like her in my career simply because the qualities that she has along with the strength that she shows as a freshman is truly uncanny. This award would hopefully only help fuel her fire and give her the recognition that she deserves. ~Trevor Schier
Peyton Murphy (Softball)
Peyton has been a student of the weight room from the second she stepped foot on campus. Her love for training has also seen her transform from leading with just her actions to her taking younger teammates under her wing. Her dedication, attention to detail, driven hard work, saw her make an appearance in the 2025 WIAC Softball Tournament resulting in her hitting a grand slam. Peyton is the model of what collegiate student athletes should be in the weight room every training session. She leads with her actions, voice, communication & compassion for her teammates in the weight room always with a smile on her face and joy in training. ~

Connor Gresens (Baseball)
Connor has bought into every step of the system from the day he committed to our baseball program. No matter the time of the year, Connor has trusted the process for his physical development in all facets. This has seen his clean, snatch, squat and bench press increase significantly in 3 years. Not only have his actions spoke loudly, but his leadership of teammates has also grown to encouraging others to push themselves to the limit in every training session. He has been named a team leader as well. Connor has been a staple of consistency, dedication, trust and commitment for 3 years. Connor has been a leader of development, culture & commitment. ~
