PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Senior
Izzy Peterson broke a school record in the 100m as the University of Wisconsin-Platteville track and field teams hosted day two of the UW-Platteville Invite on Saturday afternoon. Several other Pioneers set personal bests on the afternoon as well.
Men's Highlights
Kadyn Dixon,
Noah Platten,
Caleb Kitelinger, and
Mason Augustynowicz won the 4x100m relay with a strong time of 41.43. That time ranks seventh on the Pioneers top 10 list.
Augustynowicz also finished fifth in the 400m dash at 49.03. Senior
James Ketterer took seventh in the same event at 49.42. Ketterer later took third in the triple jump wit his best attempt being 14.23m.
Dixon also set a new personal-best in the 100m dash with a winning time of 10.74, tied for sixth best on the top 10 list. Dixon later took third in the 200m with another PR of 21.93. Augustynowicz was fourth in the 200m at 21.99, while freshman
Noah Platten took fifth at 22.01. Platten also placed sixth in the 100m at 11.07.
Sophomore
Max Schneider was the runner-up in the javelin, reaching a best throw of 56.65m. That throw moves him up to fifth on the Pioneers top 10 list.
Senior
Joshua Stone earned a fourth-place finish in the 800m run with a time of 1:55.47.
Junior
Cohen Pfohl threw a mark of 15.86m in the shot put to place fourth in the event. Junior
Colby Stotler took fifth with his toss of 15.73m.
Three Pioneers placed inside the top seven in the pole vault, led by freshman
Owen Orioles' mark of 4.76m. Sophomore
Brandyn Beahm took fourth by reaching 4.46m, while sophomore
Brendan Gaertig was seventh at 4.16m.
Sophomore
Callahan Wrasman took eighth in the 110m hurdles behind a time of 15.65. To advance to the finals he posted a time of 15.38 in the preliminary round. Freshman
Dave Vera placed seventh in the 400m hurdles by running a time of 56.80.
In the 1500m, junior
Spencer Thiry placed fourth with a time of 3:57.37. Senior
Elijah Wade was just a tick behind for fifth place at 3:57.52.
Women's Highlights
Senior
Izzy Peterson broke the Pioneers' school record in the 100m dash with a time of 11.77 in the preliminary round. She then won the 100m dash with a time of 11.84 in the finals.
Junior
Hailey Campbell was the runner-up in the high jump, reaching 1.63m.
The quartet of
Haley Stannard,
Izzy Peterson,
Rylee Steffen, and
Elianna Dalamangas opened day two with a third-place finish in the 4x100m relay with a time of 47.33. That time is good for third in the Pioneers Top 10 List.
Dalamangas also took fourth in the triple jump, with her best jump of 11.31 coming on her first attempt of the afternoon.
Senior
Samantha Klann placed fifth in the shot put with a best throw of 12.49m. Freshman
Paige Kurlinski finished one place behind with her best toss being 12.45m.
Freshman
Cecilia Skalsky took seventh in the 3000m steeplechase by running a time of 11:57.49. In the 800m, senior
Megan Hageman finished eighth with a time of 2:19.95.

The Pioneers travel to Rock Island, Illinois this coming weekend for the two-day Augustana Meet of Champions. Competition takes place Friday and Saturday.
