PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville track and field teams opened the outdoor season on Friday afternoon by hosting the Pioneer Triangular at the UW-Platteville Track and Field Complex.
Men's Highlights
Sophomore
Callahan Wrasman ran a time of 15.07 in the 110m hurdles to win the event on Friday afternoon. Freshmen
Oliver Post (15.48) and
Slade Bohlman (15.66) took second and third in the event.
Senior
Elijah Wade won the 1500m run by running a time of 4:04.60. Juniors
Paul Treiber (4:04.60) and
Spencer Thiry (4:05.20) were close behind for second and third.
The Pioneers were well represented in the 400m dash, with freshman
Mason Augustynowicz taking the top spot in the event at 50.28. Senior
James Ketterer came in second at 50.38, followed by senior
Joshua Stone's third-place time of 51.67. Augustynowicz also placed second in the 200m at 22.42.
Junior
Andrew Zimmerman ran a time of 2:02.76 to win the 800m run, with sophomore
Gavin Pinnow coming in second at 2:05.81.
In the pole vault, freshman
Owen Orioles took home the top spot with a height of 4.76m. He surpassed that bar on his first attempt, while
Braedon Shaner placed second after clearing the height on his second try.
Sophomore
Max Schneider won the javelin with a best throw of 53.54m coming on his final attempt. Freshman Cooper Kneser posted a mark of 6.11m in the long jump to finish first in the event.
Freshman
Sawyer Dase won the triple jump with a best jump of 13.29m.
Sophomore
Daniel Wenger was second in the shot put with a toss of 15.01m. Junior
Colby Stotler came in third at 14.91m.
Senior
Caden Schneider traveled to the WashU Distance Carnival on Thursday evening to compete in the 3000m steeplechase. He placed sixth overall with a time of 9:09.57.
Women's Highlights
Senior
Megan Hageman paced an all-Pioneers 1500m run with a top time of 4:55.90. Senior
Ava Garrard (5:05.98) was second with freshman
Cecilia Skalsky taking third at 5:09.77.
Junior
Evelyn Troxel won the pole vault by reaching 3.62m. Freshman
Skylar Stare came in third with a height of 3.32m.
Freshman
Sarah Knaack had the best time in the 800m run at 2:33.72. Fellow freshmen Anna Weyer (2:41.28) and
Danielle Krutzik (3:04.13) placed second in third in the same event.
In the 100m hurdles, juniors
Grace Carlson and
Danielle Mauhar placed second and third, respectively. Carlson ran a time of 16.33 while Mauhar was close behind at 16.39. Carlson also was the runner-up in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:13.22. Freshman
Layla Slife placed third in the 400m hurdles at 1:14.92. Slife was also the runner-up in the triple jump at 10.30m.
Sophomore
Skyler McIlvried claimed second in the 200m dash behind a time of 27.32. Senior
Lily Savikas was next, taking third in 27.57. McIlvried also competed in the long jump, where she placed first at 5.17m. Senior
Shannon Wulf came in second in that event at 5.15m.
Sophomore
Josephine Yurs took third in the 400m dash at 1:01.87. In the shot put, senior
Samantha Klann placed third with a best toss of 13.07m. Junior
Mary Lyons placed third in the javelin at 30.10m.

The Pioneers will compete at the Loras Mid-Week Meet next Tuesday and Wednesday in Dubuque, Iowa.
