Pearson Named Trevor Hudgins Award Finalist

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Senior Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team was named one of eighth finalists for the 2024-25 Trevor Hudgins award it was announced on Saturday.

The award, named in honor of Northwest Missouri State's Trevor Hudgins, is presented to the senior who has had the best overall four- or five-year career within Small College Basketball. Hudgins had a fantastic college career, leading the Bearcats to three consecutive NCAA DII National Championships.

The Trevor Hudgins award winner will be announced on Monday, April 7 at halftime of the NCAA DI National Championship Game.

Pearson, the D3hoops.com National Player of the Year, averaged 19.8 points per game in his final season at UW-Platteville. The senior earned All-American honors from both D3hoops.com and the NABC, will also adding District and Region Player of the Year awards as well. The two-time WIAC Player of the Year winner etched his name in the UW-Platteville record books multiple times over the course of the season, including becoming the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,112 career points. Pearson concluded his career sixth in WIAC history in points scored, and is one of just eight players in conference history to break the 2,000 points threshold.
