PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team suffered a tough loss to UW-Superior, 3-1, on Saturday at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
Senior Stephen Hall delivered a beautiful 20-yard through ball to Mbodje Sarr, who put it away to the far post, giving the Pioneers a 1-0 lead in the 22nd-minute.
UW-Platteville held onto a 1-0 lead into intermission.
Superior found the equalizer in the 73rd-minute when Brian Grand shot a excellent free kick over the Pioneer wall to out the upper right corner from 20 yards out.
UWS found another goal in the 80th-minute, and then in the 89th-minute Ben Kasper bent a shot around the Pioneers' goalkeeper Scott Sibik from 15-yards out to put the game away, 3-1.
The Pioneers will look to bounce back on Sunday when they host Finlandia at 1 p.m.
