WHEATON, Ill. – The ninth-ranked Wheaton (Ill.) Thunder was too much for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team to handle, falling 3-0 on Wednesday at Wheaton, Ill.
The Thunder offense was relentless, out shooting the Pioneers 25-4. Wheaton's Josh Clark scored from point blank off a rebound in the 10th-minute to go up 1-0. The Thunder went up 2-0 in at the 51:20 mark and then put the game out of reach on another goal off a rebound, 3-0, in the 65th-minute.
Junior Hunter McMahon took two of the Pioneers' four shots.
The Pioneers' schedule doesn't get any easier as they welcome 14th-ranked Wartburg on Wednesday, October 23 to Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium at 7 p.m.
