Four goals in each half propelled the No. 25 University of
Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team to an 8-0 rout of Coe
College on Thursday night at Pioneer Stadium.
The Pioneers (9-1-1) controlled possession for nearly the entire
contest. UW-Platteville held a commanding 27-1 advantage in shots
including a decisive 13-0 margin in shots on goal. Pioneer

McMahon scored a goal and assisted on two more to lead the
attack; plus freshman Austin Klemm
scored his third and fourth goals of the season in the 37th and
39th minute, respectively.
Coe (3-7-1) was playing without the services of five starters in
the loss. Ben Mineck recorded the only shot in the loss for the
Kohawks.
Offensively, 12 players for UW-Platteville had a shot, nine of
which had a shot on goal. McMahon started the scoring with a goal
in the 12th minute, later in the half, reigning WIAC Offensive
Player of the Week senior Brandon
Chmiel scored on a header off the Pioneer corner kick in the
17th minute.
Also scoring goals for the Pioneers were Cameron
Weess in the 50th minute, followed by the first goals of the
season by Mike Presser
and Jordan
Williams in the 82nd and 88th minutes. Mbodje Sarr,
who assisted on the goal by Presser, recorded his second goal of
the season in the 85th minute.
The Pioneers are back in action on Sunday, when they travel to
face St. Norbert at 2 p.m.
