B.J. Gottschlich scored twice, including the game-winner with
just over a minute left in the second overtime, lifting
UW-Platteville to a thrilling 2-1 win over Carthage at Loras
Saturday.
The reigning WIAC Player of the Year put in a rebound shot at
the 108:43 mark for the contest-ending score.
Gottschlich tied the game in the 75th minute, a 25-yard shot
assisted by Kurt Knolle.
The Pioneers improved to 2-1-1 with the double overtime win.
Mark Goldsberry scored the lone goal for Carthage, now 1-2-1.
Coach Enzo Fuschin's club makes its home debut Sunday at 4 p.m.
