CHICAGO, Ill. – A goal in the 81st minute doomed the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team (3-4-1) to a 1-0 loss at No. 25 North Park (7-1-2) on Wednesday night from Holmgren Athletic Complex.
After a scoreless first half, the Vikings tallied the game's lone goal in the 81st minute and made a late save on a shot attempt by senior
Brady Harwood to preserve the win.
Despite the loss, UW-Platteville held a 13-6 advantage in total shots, including a 6-2 mark in shots on goal. The Pioneers put on more pressure in the second half, tallying nine shots and five on target, but North Park's defense held strong.

Calen Wahlberg shared the team lead with three shots apiece, with Hatleberg's two on goal pacing the Pioneers.
UW-Platteville held North Park without a shot on goal across the first half, with the Vikings first shot on goal coming in the 72nd minute. Sophomore goalkeeper
Connor Waite made one save for the Pioneers, but he fell to 3-3-1 on the season.
The Pioneers will open WIAC play on Saturday at 7 p.m. against UW-Stevens Point. The Pointers have won two straight matches and begin the conference slate at 5-4-0 overall.
