WAUKESHA, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team (5-3-0) fell 2-1 Tuesday night at Carroll University (2-1-3).
After a scoreless first 30 minutes, Carroll jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals scored within three minutes of each other in the first half. UW-Platteville cut the lead to one in the 63
rd minute with a successful penalty kick taken by junior
Elise Kukuck, but Carroll tallied two more saves on the next two shots to hold on to the 2-1 victory.
UW-Platteville held an 18-7 advantage in shots, including 7-5 on goal, with all seven shots by Carroll falling in the first half. Four Pioneers registered three shots in the game, including Kukuck, grad student

Margaret Slove, and senior
Izzy Streeter.

Sophia Vriesema tallied three saves across 90 minutes in goal.
The Pioneers will return to action on Saturday, September 27 when they travel to Illinois Wesleyan for a 1 p.m. match.
