EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The fourth-seeded University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team (8-6-5, 1-2-2 WIAC) fell 1-0 in the WIAC Semifinal game to top-seeded UW-Eau Claire (11-2-4, 4-0-1 WIAC) on Thursday night from Simpson Field.
The Blugolds scored the match's lone goal on their third shot attempt of the night in the 10th minute of the first half. Ramzi Ouro netted the goal for UW-Eau Claire, his seventh of the season.
UW-Platteville had a couple of scoring opportunities over the next several minutes, but shot attempts by junior

Ethan Dietrich were turned aside. In the first half, the Pioneers recorded five shots, including three on goal.
The Pioneers attempted five more shots across the second half, with senior

Westley Hankes each getting looks on goal. But all three were stopped and the Blugolds hung on for the win to advance to the WIAC Championship game.
For the match, UW-Eau Claire outshot UW-Platteville 13-10, including 7-6 in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper

The Pioneers conclude the 2025 season with a 8-6-5 overall record.
