RIVER FALLS, Wis. -- A 3-0 first half hole was too much for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team to overcome, falling 3-1 at UW-River Falls on Saturday.
The Falcons' offense was relentless, earning an 11-1 corner kick advantage and out shooting the Pioneers 19-11.
UWRF scored the game's first goal just 3:08 into the game, and then netted another goal just over 10 minutes later. River Falls took a 3-0 lead into the half after a goal from Megan Haninger in the 30th-minute.
The Pioneers managed to cut their deficit in the 52nd-minute when Julie Divita found Bianca Mahoney for the UW-Platteville lone goal.
The Pioneers (6-8, 1-4 WIAC) travels to Storm Lake, Iowa for a non-conference game against Buena Vista at 6 p.m.
