PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to UW-Eau Claire on Saturday at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.

Pioneer goalkeeper Katie Rash made six saves in the first half to keep the game scoreless at the half. The Blugolds tallied 12 shots and six corner kicks in the first half. 

UWEC kept the offensive surge on in the final period, and were finally able to get one past Rash, off a corner kick that was deflected into the back of the net in the 80th-minute. The Pioneers couldn't find the equalizer in the final 10 minutes and were out shot 11-1 in the second half. 

The Pioneers will travel to UW-La Crosse on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
