WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Maranatha Baptist on Saturday.
The Pioneers out shot Maranatha 14-11 but couldn't find the back of the net. Maranatha held a 7-3 corner kick advantage.
Sabercats' Jeremy Knudsen managed to eluded several Pioneer defenders, and found Timothy Rogers, who raced around the goalkeeper and scored the game-winner in the 62nd-minute.
The Pioneers couldn't find the equalizer in the final 28 minutes, falling 1-0.
The Pioneers will regroup and host 10th-ranked Loras on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
