PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's team tied with St. John's (Minn.), 0-0, on Saturday afternoon at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
"We had another good performance against a good team, where we had good possession but lack of creativity in the final third," said head coach Enzo Fuschino. "We created a lot of chances, but couldn't seem to put one away."
The Pioneers out shot the Johnnies 23-11 but only could put eight of them on goal where St. John's recorded nine shots on goal.
In the final five minutes of the second overtime, UW-Platteville had three excellent shots that just sailed wide for scoreless draw.
The Pioneers' senior goalkeeper Ian Christensen had a stellar performance making nine saves on the day.
The Pioneers will look to break their 220-minute scoring drought on Sunday when they welcome Carroll to Pioneer Stadium at 1 p.m.
