UW-Platteville Defeats Finlandia, 10-1

Seven different players scored including senior Karen Bublitz as the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team posted a 10-1 win over Finlandia on Sunday afternoon.

UW-Platteville (7-9-1) outshot the host Lions by a 37 to 2 margin in the win. The Pioneers scored eight times in the first 45 minutes for the win, including three-straight by Bublitz.

Finlandia (2-11-1) got on the board in the 73rd minute when Ashley Pavlish scored to end the shutout bid for the Pioneers.

Next, the Pioneers close out the regular season with a pair of home games, including a non-conference game on Tuesday, Oct. 25 against Mount Mercy at 7 p.m. and a WIAC tilt against UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.
