The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team posted a 2-0 win over Finlandia University on Sunday afternoon in the regular season finale.

The Pioneers (9-10-1, 3-5 WIAC) scored in each half for its seventh shutout, two of which have came against Finlandia. In addition, UW-Platteville goalkeeper Ian Christensen has been the goalkeeper in both shutout victories. The Lions (3-8, 0-5 WIAC) have been held to just one goal in five conference games.

UW-Platteville dominated possession of the ball for the entire contest with a 46 to 3 advantage in shots. The 46 shots were the most since they recorded 58 in 2010 against Finlandia en route to a 20-0 win.

The Pioneers' Ryan Olles and Brandon Chmiel scored unassisted goals in the 19th and 57th minute, respectively in the win. Chmiel led the attack with 10 shots in the contest and Christensen made a pair of saves for UW-Platteville.  Finlandia goalkeeper Miguel Gamez made 12 saves in the contest for the Lions.
