Mitch Cornelius scored twice, and B.J. Gottschlich had a goal
and an assist, leading UWP to a 3-0 win over host Wisconsin
Lutheran Friday.
Cornelius tallied goals in the 15th and 31st minutes, and
Gottschlich added an insurance goal 14 minutes into the second half
for the Pioneers, now 1-1.
UWP out-shot the host Warriors (0-2) 25-4, taking 20 shots in
the first half. Jared Kuehl earned the shutout in the nets.
With his points Friday, Gottschlich moved into eighth place on
the Pioneer career charts for goals (32), assists (25), and total
points (89).
