University of Wisconsin Platteville Head women’s soccer coach Eliza Denmeade enters her fourth season at the helm after building the program into one of the premier competitors in the WIAC.

In just three seasons as head coach, Denmeade has guided the Pioneers to three consecutive conference championship appearances while compiling an impressive 32-12-15 overall record. Her 2024 squad made program history by recording 14 wins, the most in a single season at Platteville. The turnaround under her leadership has been remarkable, as the program had never previously appeared in a conference championship match and was regularly projected to finish near the bottom of the conference standings prior to her arrival.

Under Denmeade’ s leadership, the program has also produced multiple standout student-athletes, including All-Region honorees Arianna Lombardi, Jess Morawski, Lexi Ward, and Madison Way. Ward further earned WIAC Defensive Player of the Year honors during the 2025 season.

Denmeade originally joined the program as an assistant coach during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Following a 2-15-2 campaign the year before her arrival, the team improved to 9-6-3 in her first season and followed with a 12-6-2 record in 2022. During that resurgence, the Pioneers went unbeaten throughout the month of September and earned a regional ranking for the first time in program history.

A graduate of University of Indianapolis, Denmeade earned her master’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Human Performance while competing in a fifth season with the Greyhounds women’s soccer program. She completed her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training at Erskine College, where she was a three-sport student-athlete.
