Marissa Lyle joined the Pioneers women's basketball staff in 2024 and enters her third season as the assistant coach.
No stranger to the WIAC, Lyle came to UW-Platteville after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at UW-Stevens Point where she was involved in all aspects of operation for the program including player development, scouting reports, travel and academic progress monitoring. She was also an intern with the UW-Whitewater women's basketball team during the 2019-20 season. Prior to the Pointers, she served as a graduate assistant coach at Alverno College.
In addition to coaching at the collegiate level, Lyle has over three years of coaching at the AAU and high school levels. From 2019-22 she was a coach for the Wisconsin Lakers AAU team in Southeastern Wisconsin. Lyle also spent time coaching at Waukesha West and Green Bay Southwest high schools.
Lyle's own collegiate career included playing on the women's basketball and volleyball teams at UW-Waukesha.
"I'm so excited to join the family here at UW-Platteville and I'm beyond grateful to Coach McNiff for this opportunity," said Lyle.
The Waukesha, Wisconsin native earned an associate degree in arts and sciences from UW-Waukesha, a bachelor's degree from UW-Green Bay, and earned her master's degree in education from UW-Whitewater.
