Alex Koeller

Alex Koeller joined the women's basketball staff in the summer of 2022. 

Koeller brought nine years of coaching experience to UW-Platteville and made the move to southwest wisconsin after a three-year stint at Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. The Eagles finished 2020 NACC North Division Conference Champions and registered a number of program firsts including a season-best record of 25-3 and winning the NACC Tournament Title. Edgewood also made its first appearance in 15 years to the NCAA Division III Tournament that same season.  

Before coaching at the collegiate level, Koeller had an illustrious career as head varsity coach at Marshall High School. While there, the team won back-to-back Division III Girls' Wisconsin State Titles in 2018 and 2019. He was also selected the 2018 WBCA High School Girls' Basketball Coach of the Year. 

Koeller earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sport Management and Leadership from Viterbo University and a Master's of Business Administration from Edgewood College.
