University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers

A native of Marengo, Illinois, Kunde's coaching career has kept him near Platteville over the years. In 2014, Kunde began as a student-manager with the Pioneers men's basketball team before moving to a student assistant coach for the 2017-18 season. During that time, Kunde was also the head freshman boys coach and varsity assistant coach at Platteville High School from 2015 through 2017. In 2018, he was elevated to assistant coach for the Pioneers and in 2022-23 he added men's basketball recruiting coordinator to his title. Currently, Kunde serves the program as Player Development Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, Camp Coordinator along with performing other day-to-day operations surrounding the men's basketball team.

Kunde has also spent five years coaching AAU basketball with the Wisconsin Swing program and assisted with various other summer basketball camps and showcases throughout the Midwest. He has spent time working with NBA Development Coach Phil Beckner and Driven Basketball in Phoenix, Arizona and has been selected as a member of the staff for the Adidas Formula Zero Elite Camp the last three years.

Kunde graduated in 2018 with a teaching degree and recently received his Masters in Athletic Sports Administration from UW-Platteville in 2023. He resides in Dubuque, IA with his wife Erin and daughter Kaia.
