What do you plan to bring to the UW-Platteville baseball program in 2020?
I plan on bringing a strong work ethic along with the mentality where I’ll do whatever has to be done to help our team win.
What is your nickname? How did you get it and who gave it to you?
My parents have called me Jay for as long as I can remember.
Who are the role models in your life and why?
Both my parents are 100% my role models because of the hard work and unselfishness they display. I wish to follow the same set of values.
Who or what inspired you to play baseball and why?
I think when I first started it was simply because I was young and liked sports, but when I got to that little league age I think the fun times I had made me want to keep playing.
Favorite baseball moment as a Pioneer or in high school if you are a freshman?
In high school I’d say that my favorite moment was piling on top of my teammates when we won to go to state my senior year.
If you were a superhero what would your name be and what superpower would you have?
My name would just be Robin and my superpower would be robbin’ homers.
Pre-game rituals or game day superstitions:
I have to swing the bat with each arm individually with a donut on when I’m on deck.

What advice would you give to future Pioneers?
I would say balancing baseball with school is very possible if you stay on top of what has to be done without procrastinating.
If you won a million dollars what would you buy?
I’d buy my parents a nice house somewhere in North Dakota with a ton of land.
What is one thing you would put on your bucket list?
To climb to the top of Mt. Everest.
What place would you like to visit most?
I would like to visit Australia.
What are your hobbies away from baseball?
I enjoy working out and playing pickup basketball.

Milwaukee Brewers and Prince Fielder

Do you have any pets? If yes, what kind and what are their names?
Yes I have a dog named Copper. She’s a silky terrier and poodle mix.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
I’d be a Cobra because they’re aggressive and unpredictable.
Is there anything you like to eat or any food combination you have been called "weird" for liking?
People think it’s weird that I eat pork chops or chicken with ghost pepper hot sauce
