What is your nickname? How did you get it and who gave it to you?
El Pocho! I got it playing baseball in Aguascalientes. It means someone who was born in the U.S. but their family is from México
Who are the role models in your life and why?
I’ll be honest with you, it’s Bruce Lee. The man was a beast
Who or what inspired you to play baseball and why?
Both sides of my family are really into the sports. My uncles still play in Mexico and my dad played when he was younger as well. At this point, it’s more like it’s in my blood now.
Favorite baseball moment as a Pioneer or in high school if you are a freshman?
Honestly I’d have to say our dugout mob, guys are insane! We put fear in the other team when we’re pumped. Everyone should come out to hear our warrior turkey call
If you were a superhero what would your name be and what superpower would you have?
Sheesh! I never thought about what my name would be but... I would definitely have some actual big wings like Hawkman. But it would have to come with some strength too I can’t just be flying and look like a twig, that’s just sad

In between pitching changes for the other team, dugout dance party!

What advice would you give to future Pioneers?
Forget about your past, forget about what happened back in the day. Make the rest of your life the best of your life.

Of course, a black lab with beagle mix. So he has the body of a lab but tiny legs of a beagle. His names Blake
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
A wolf. I’m a big family guy and they do everything as a pack. Might be my spirit animal, who knows.

I drink my milk with ice. Life changer and you all should hop on that trend
