University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers

Eric Nelson joined UW-Platteville in July of 2026, as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Previously, Nelson worked as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Wittenberg University during the 2025-2026 school year, a Sports Performance Graduate Assistant during the 2024-2025 school year, and as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at UW-Madison with the Badger’s football team during the summer of 2024. 

Nelson graduated from Edgewood University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Nutrition, while also pitching for the Eagles baseball team. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, as well as having his CPR, AED, and First Aid certification from American Red Cross.
