PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team announced its 2026-27 schedule on Monday afternoon, with the Pioneers opening the season against Thiel College on Friday, November 6 with Carthage College serving as host.
Two days later on Sunday, November 8, the Pioneers welcome in Buena Vista for the home opener. Game time is slated for 2 p.m. on Bo Ryan Court.
UW-Platteville hosts the annual Gabe Miller Classic presented by the DRA the following weekend on November 13-14. The Pioneers face Carleton on Friday night before taking on Concordia Wisconsin Saturday evening.
After road contests against Nebraska Wesleyan and Augustana (Ill.) to wrap up November, UW-Platteville returns home to face Olivet on Friday, December 4. The following day, the Pioneers take on reigning MIAA Tournament Champion Hope College at home at 5 p.m.
The non-conference slate concludes on the road, with games against Coe, Gustavus Adolphus, and Dubuque. Gustavus Adolphus advanced to the Sweet Sixteen a year ago but its run ended with a one-point defeat.
Conference play begins at home on Saturday, January 3 with the Pioneers hosting UW-Oshkosh at 5 p.m. Following a road game against UW-Whitewater, UW-Platteville returns to Bo Ryan Court for Alumni Day on Saturday, January 9 against UW-Stevens Point. The Pioneers will also have a youth night on Wednesday, January 20 during a contest against UW-Eau Claire.
UW-Platteville hits the road for a couple road WIAC games before facing UW-Whitewater in the annual Garding Against Cancer night on Wednesday, February 3. The final two home conference games will be against UW-River Falls and UW-Stout before the Pioneers hit the road to close out the regular season versus UW-Eau Claire and UW-La Crosse.
Following the regular season, the WIAC Tournament begins on February 23 and runs through February 27.
