Ashley Weir, and
Alexis Strom, and sophomore
Ava Hanson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team were recently named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their performances both on the court and in the classroom. To be nominated, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and be in sophomore, junior, or senior standing.
Reichmann, a biology major with a 3.732 GPA, was tabbed WIAC Honorable Mention after averaging 8.3 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. Reichmann started all 26 games she played and shot 41.4 percent from the floor and 34.8 percent from three-point range.
Weir holds a 3.790 GPA as business management major and earned WIAC Honorable Mention honors following the season. The senior finished as the team's top three-point shooter at 39.5 percent and averaged 8.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Weir started all 27 games and was second on the team in minutes played at 25.7 per contest.
Strom, an animal science major with a 3.518 GPA, appeared in 27 games for the Pioneers and played just under 20 minutes per game. Strom tallied 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game and was fourth on the team in total assists with 41.
Hanson started all 27 games for the Pioneers and is a criminal justice major with a 4.000 GPA. The sophomore averaged 4.5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while serving as a strong defender for the Pioneers.
