STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team (18-11, 4-2 WIAC) defeated UW-Stevens Point (21-8, 3-4 WIAC) in a 5-4 thriller after dropping the first game 10-1 in five innings on Saturday from McCarty Memorial Field.
Game One
The Pointers used a hot start to jump out to a five-run lead in the first frame. The Pioneers answered with one run in the second inning, but bats went quite and UW-Stevens Point scored five more runs in the fourth inning for the run-rule victory.
