OSHKOSH, Wis. – Senior
Max Love reached the 1,000-career points threshold but the No. 19 University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team (11-4, 3-1 WIAC) fell 86-76 at No. 20 UW-Oshkosh (12-3, 3-1 WIAC) on Wednesday night inside the Kolf Sports Center.
Love scored a team-high 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting with four made threes while grabbing a team-leading eight rebounds. The senior surpassed 1,000 points for his career late in the first half on a three-point make, becoming the 40th player in program history to reach that mark.

Lucas Rameker knocked down three triples to finish with 13 points and five boards. Junior
Bristol Lewis was the fourth Pioneers in double figures with 11 points.
UW-Oshkosh held the advantage for the majority of the first half, with its largest lead being nine at 25-16 just over midway through. The Pioneers answered with 10 straight points to take their first lead of the game behind three-point makes by Love and Rameker. In the final minute of the half, Lewis connected on a three to put UW-Platteville up five, but the Titans scored on their final possession to keep it close at 32-30.
The two teams went back and forth to begin the second half until back-to-back three point makes by UW-Oshkosh gave the hosts a 51-46 lead with 11:13 left. That lead later grew to double digits, and the Pioneers fought to keep the game within reach. UW-Platteville was able to get as close as five in the closing minutes, including at 81-76 thanks to a three by Love, but the Titans pulled away and sealed the win at the free throw line.
UW-Platteville shot 45.9 percent (28-of-61) from the floor and 37.9 percent (11-of-29) from three-point range. The Pioneers were also effective from the line, shooting 81.8 percent (9-of-11).
The Titans finished at 41.4 percent (24-of-58) from the field and 38.2 percent (13-of-34) from deep. UW-Oshkosh was able to get to the free throw line often, going 25-of-32 (78.1 percent). Leading the way for the Titans was Brandon Beck, who scored 23 points.
The up-tempo Titans finished with a 21-8 advantage in fast break points and turned 18 UW-Platteville turnovers into 27 points. The Pioneers held the slight edge on the glass 37-35.
The Pioneers return home on Saturday to face No. 11 UW-Stevens Point while also celebrating Alumni Day. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
