RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team's trip to UW-River Falls ended in a 2-2 draw Saturday afternoon at the Ramer Soccer Stadium.
The Pioneers (6-2-3, WIAC 0-2-1) once again outshot their opponent 21-13. The Falcons (5-7-2, WIAC 0-1-1) put together two goals in four minutes late in the second half to push the game into overtime.
The Pioneers jumped to an early lead with a goal by freshman Bryanne Pinkowski in the 4th minute of the game. The lead went into halftime and UW-Platteville was first once again to score in the next half when Morgan Beardsley scored at the 69:38 mark to boost the lead to 2-0.
The Falcons tied the game with four minutes left in regulation and the 2-2 knot eventually became final.
Junior Emma Ball registered eight saves while Kaylie Krueger tallied four saves for UW-River Falls.
The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 13 when they travel to Beloit College with game time set for 4 p.m.
