PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team fell to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons 61-77 Saturday afternoon in 2018-19 home opener.
The Falcons shot 61.1% from behind the arc making 11 of 18 to top the Pioneers on Bo Ryan Court.
Morgan Horstman led the Pioneers scoring with 16 points going 6-8 in field goals made and 2-3 for three-point baskets all while recording a team high three steals and five rebounds. Caitlyn Tiption also tallied 14 points and six rebounds. Mahia Domask led the Pioneers with eight rebounds while
Rachel Emendorfer recorded a team high four assists.
The Pioneers move to 0-2 this season while Concordia University Wisconsin improves to 2-0.
UW-Platteville returns to action Tuesday, Nov. 20 when they hit the road for Ripon College with game time set for 7 p.m.
