Hot-shooting UW-Platteville scored 42 points in each half and beat St. Mary's 84-60 Saturday in the Just A Game Classic in Wisconsin Dells.
Fifteen Pioneers saw game action and nine scored, helping the Pioneers improve to 10-1. UW-Platteville made 13-22 from the field and all 12 free throw attempts in the first half, taking a 42-26 lead into the neutral-site locker room. For the game, the Pioneers made 29-53 from the field, including 9-23 three-point shots, and 17-18 from the line.
James Cullen had 16 points and David Linstrand 11 for St. Mary's, from Winona, Minnesota. The Cardinals dropped to 1-9 overall.
The Pioneers begin Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play Wednesday at UW-Stout, with a 7 p.m. tipoff.
