The University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team dropped a pair of games Saturday to UW-Oshkosh, splitting the weekend series with the Titans to finish 2016 with a 20-20 record.
After the Pioneers won Friday's games by 6-2 and 3-2 scores, the Titans returned the favor with 9-4 and 7-3 wins Saturday.
The Pioneers' 41 wins over the last two seasons are tied for the second-best two-year record, joining the 2005 and 2006 teams. UW-Platteville totaled 43 victories in 2009 and 2010.
Tanner Galeazzi and George Jester each drove in two runs in the opener Saturday, but a seven-run Titan eighth inning put the game away. Jester and Evan Greco both recorded two hits in the nightcap, but those were the only hits allowed by a trio of Titan pitchers.
