EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team fell to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds 3-1 on Saturday in Eau Claire, Wis., ending regular season play.
Junior goalkeeper
Katie Rash played well for the Pioneers, who fell to 3-13 for the season. Rash logged a season-high 16 saves in the loss, giving her 63 saves and a save percentage of .778 for the season.
The Blugolds logged a quick goal in the first two minutes of the game, going up 1-0 before the Pioneers could respond later in the half on a goal from sophomore
Miranda Holle to make it an even 1-1 at the break.
After a Pioneer foul early in the second half, the Blugolds took advantage of the penalty kick opportunity and took the game to 2-1 before scoring another goal at the 54:22 mark to go up 3-1 and take the game.
