MENOMONIE, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer opened conference play with a 2-1 loss at UW-Stout on Saturday.
The Pioneers attacked early and found an open seam when Yamliex Jaramillo scored only a minute 15 seconds into the contest.
Stout evened the score when Jenna Kizlik headed a corner kick from Kelly Conn in the 17th-minute.
The Blue Devils scored another in the 34th-minute to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.
The Pioneer offense was held in check in the second half, only getting one shot in the final period.
UW-Platteville heads to Loras on Wednesday for a non-conference matchup.
